Dennis James was the host of "The New Price
Is Right"in its syndicated nighttime version premiered on September 11, 1972, Dennis continued to be the host until 1977 when he was replaced by Bob Barker.
Bob Barker completed a 35-year tenure in March 2007, however, two years after, on April 16, 2009, he made a special guest appearance on the Showcase Showdown part of the show.
Janice Pennington and Anitra Ford were the original models, they were named after the host as "Barker's Beauties"
